ABOUT

Braulio Hernandez Filmmaker

Braulio Hernandez was born in the city of Havana, Cuba, showing an interest in acting from his early years. Soon after moving to Miami, FL at the age of eight, he began working as a co-host on Univision’s “Sabado Gigante” – the leading Spanish-language television show at the time. From there, he began building a career in acting through shows like Telemundo’s “Mariposa de Barrio”, and Netflix’s “El Ganador”.

Being exposed to the production landscape from an actor’s perspective always made Braulio interested in the field. At the age of 10, his Christmas wishlist was a “green screen kit, and a point-and-shoot camera” – which was gifted to him by one of the productions he was working on. Moving forward, Braulio would begin writing, shooting, and editing his own short stories, which would open up a world of endless possibilities and creativity.

As he refined his skills and learned from the production environments around him, Braulio realized the true impact media has around the world – most importantly: the power to leave the world better off, one frame at a time. With a strong drive to bring inspiring, captivating, and thrilling stories to the screen, Braulio journey has taken him to Los Angeles, CA where he majors in Film and Television Production at the University of Southern California.
